The Energy Minister issued a decree last week increasing the extended producer responsibility charge for some circular product categories from 1 October 2025. The following product categories are affected by the increase in the EPR fee:

  • wooden packaging
  • textile packaging
  • glass packaging
  • Associated (composite) packaging
  • lamps
  • car battery, battery
  • car (flat rate also increases)
  • advertising support paper
  • cooking oil and fat
  • textile products
  • wooden furniture

At the same time, the connection fee for mandatory returnable packaging will increase for non-reusable metal and non-reusable glass beverage packaging.

The invoices for the 4th quarter will be issued by MOHU with the increased fees after the January return.
