Accor, a global hotel company, continues to expand its portfolio of established brands in Hungary. From this summer, the Hotel Magyar Király in Székesfehérvár will join the group's extensive market portfolio under a franchise agreement, accompanied by Moore Hungary.

We are proud that Moore Hungary was able to help the Mercure Hotel Magyar Király in Székesfehérvár to join the international hotel group. The historic hotel building, located in a prime area of the city, will continue to operate as part of the globally renowned Accor hotel group under the internationally and already in Hungary prominent brand name Mercure.

During the transaction, Moore Hungary provided expert legal advice and international hotel professional advisory guidance throughout the negotiation process, ensuring a smooth and successful transaction for all parties involved. The acquisition of the Hotel Magyar Kiraly brand by Accor is another significant step towards further strengthening the international competitiveness of the Hungarian hotel market, and Moore Hungary is honoured to have played a key role in making this happen.

With a rich history dating back to the early 19th century, the hotel has undergone renovations in recent years to maintain its competitiveness. Thanks to Accor's operational support tools, the hotel will soon become the city's number one hotel and will be even more successful in attracting business and leisure travellers.

“We are very pleased to be part of the decisive competitive strengthening of Székesfehérvár's hotel market and we are confident that Mercure Hotel Magyar Kiraly will continue to flourish under the Accor brand,” said Márton Takacs, Head of the Hotel Real Estate Advisory Wing at Moore Hungary. “Our team of legal and hotel real estate experts is committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients and we are proud to have helped deliver this exciting project,” added Ákos Boross, Managing Partner of Moore.

“Each of the Mercure brand's upper-mid-range hotels is unique, but all share the same passion for high quality service. Mercure hotels allow our guests to experience the true value proposition of each destination, as the hotels tell the story of the location and its cultural heritage,” said Dilek Sezer, Accor's Senior Development Director for South East Europe. “The project is a key opportunity for us to expand our regional network in Hungary and the Budapest area.”

“We are delighted to be working with a partner with such a leading global reach as Accor and its unrivalled range of brands in Europe. We are delighted that the historic hotel in Székesfehérvár will be able to build on a well-known international brand that offers travellers a high quality guest experience,” said Albert Molnár of Balance 99 Zrt. investment group, the hotel's owner.
