Pursuant to the Act on Electoral Procedures, employees and members of the ballot counting committee (hereinafter referred to as \"members of the PEC\") participating in the conduct of elections are exempted from the statutory work obligation on the day following the day of voting. On that day, they are entitled to an absence allowance, which must be paid by the employer. The employer may apply to the local election office for reimbursement of the absence allowance and contributions payable to the member of the electoral body within five days of the counting of the votes.
The deadline for receipt of the request for reimbursement is Friday 14 June 2024 at 16:00. Applications received after this deadline will be rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
